Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is slated to miss the next two games with a sore right knee, according to David Aldridge of NBA.com.

The Greek Freak is slated to miss tonight's game against the Philadelphia 76ers as well as Monday night's game against the Phoenix Suns, giving him eight games to rest and alleviate the soreness. Tony Snell and Sterling Brown are expected to pick up playing time as Antetokounmpo sits out.

This is a definite downer for the Bucks, as Antetokounmpo is coming off five straight 20-plus-point outings and two straight double-doubles of points and rebounds.

Milwaukee should be getting back forward Jabari Parker, after he missed the first half of the season, recovering from a second torn ACL. The Duke standout was sent to G League affiliate Wisconsin Herd last week and called back soon after to rejoin practice with his teammates.

Parker could be a great addition in light of Antetokounmpo being sidelined, as the two will have to slowly gear toward a frontcourt partnership if they hope to make a strong run for playoff contention.

Antetokounmpo has built from a Most Improved Player campaign last season, now averaging a league second-best 28.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.

The 22-year-old is shooting a career-high from the field at 54.6 percent and is more than willing to play as many minutes as head coach Jason Kidd can throw his way, already leading the league alongside sharp-shooting teammate Khris Middleton — the only players averaging over 37 minutes per game this season.
