There's always a ton of pressure for athletes on a new team. Jrue Holiday is well aware of this. The newest member of the Milwaukee Bucks is set to take over point guard duties for last season's top-seeded team in the East. He knows it isn't an easy task. The former All-Star is more than ready to heed the call.

“If you can’t handle pressure, then you probably shouldn’t be in the sport, to be completely honest,” Holiday said about the Bucks (via The Wisconsin State Journal). “For me, being able to control that and handle that through my family life, handle that with my teammates who support me and I them, I feel like that’s kind of how you get through those type of pressure times.”

Holiday has been one of the sturdiest players in the league for the past decade. The two-time All-NBA Defensive Team member has grown to be one of the best two-way point guards in the NBA right now and is looking bring his intensity and leadership to Bucks team that seemed to have been underperforming for the past few seasons, especially when it comes to the post-season.

The Bucks had to ship out Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and a few future picks just to grab the 30-year old guard and they're hoping that the acquisition of Holiday could be the missing ingredient to a championship recipe.

“It's special to add him to our team,” Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said of Holiday. “Just the kind of guy he is and what he brings, we just feel like he's a perfect fit for us and he's going to make us better.”

You do get a feeling that being better from last season's second-round playoff exit is the minimum these Bucks would want to strive for coming into the 2020-2021 season. With two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo having a very reliable playmaker like Holiday in the mix, look for these Bucks to aim for nothing less than a title shot this season.
