DeMar DeRozan left Chicago Bulls fans speechless on several occasions back in 2021 with a handful of mesmerizing performances early in the season. He started of 2022 with more of the same as he drilled the game-winning three to beat the Washington Wizards on New Year's Day.

Apparently, even DeMar DeRozan himself is in disbelief at his own clutch gene.

“I don’t know if I’m dreaming or if it’s real right now,” said the Bulls star after his second buzzer-beater in as many nights.

Chicagoans certainly feel the same way. Even the most ardent of Bulls fans probably wouldn't have expected their team to own the top seed in the Eastern Conference in January.

But thanks to DeRozan's heroics and an unexpected loss from the Brooklyn Nets against a Paul George-less LA Clipper side, the Bulls now have sole possession of first place. They stand a game ahead of the Nets and Bucks, the two favorites entering the season.
