Chicago Bulls vice president of basketball operations John Paxson wants the organization to move on quickly from their disappointing 2019 NBA Draft Lottery.

The Bulls, the fourth worst team in the regular season, landed the seventh overall pick in the recently concluded NBA Draft lottery. As Paxson told KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, the result was disappointing but prodded everyone to move on quickly. He then laid out his plans for the offseason, noting that they intend to spend money.

“I stay committed, along with my staff, to get this right. We’re going to add another good player in this draft. We’re going to spend money in free agency where we add some vets who help. Get over the disappointment quickly because you have a lot of work to do,” Paxson said.

Given Paxson has vowed to make big moves in the offseason, it would be interesting to see how the Bulls will navigate through it. They certainly have assets whom they can include in a trade package. They also have a budding star in Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen.

A lot of players will be looking for new teams for a fresh start. And this includes elite players who are aiming to lead their own team with hopes of winning a championship. Will the Bulls be able to come out as winners in the offseason?
