The last thing the Chicago Bulls need right now is drama, but that’s exactly what they continue to get as they try to navigate through the fallout of the Nikola Mirotic-Bobby Portis fight last week.

Mirotic is out with a facial injury, which was a result of an altercation with Portis during practice. Nikola Mirotic’s injury will keep him sidelined for some time, while the Bulls suspended Portis for eight games.

And as if those were not enough news to hamper the Bulls this season, it is now being reported by Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times that Mirotic has no intentions to play for Chicago so long as Portis is still with the team.

Multiple sources informed the Sun-Times on Thursday that in the last 24 hours, Mirotic’s camp has notified the organization that it’s a “me or him’’ ultimatum, with Mirotic insisting that when he is ready to return to action either Portis is gone or he wants to be.

From Nikola Mirotic’s standpoint, he’s understandably still upset of Portis. Coexisting with a teammate that just tried to break his face is an idea Mirotic is having a hard time accepting.

Portis had already expressed his willingness to patch things up with Mirotic, but it looks like it’ll take more than a just a phone call, an apology, and a get-well-soon card from Bobby Portis to appease his teammate.

It was also reported earlier that Mirotic won’t exercise his veto rights should Chicago plan to trade him. Mirotic's contract comes with a no-trade clause, but the unforeseen and unfortunate skirmish with Portis has seemingly left the 26-year-old forward seriously thinking of parting ways with the Bulls.
