Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine is looking forward to the coming season, and he has specifically expressed his excitement to play with rookie Coby White:

“Coby White, he’s extremely exciting,” LaVine told Shlomo Sprung of Forbes. “(He) plays both sides of the ball, pushes the pace. He’s obviously one of the faster players on the team. So me and him would obviously love to use our speed to attack the defense. I think we’re going to have a really good time.”

By most accounts, White is going to be a solid addition for the Bulls. Chicago selected the 19-year-old point guard with the No. 7 overall pick in this year's draft, and the team has high hopes for his development as an NBA player.

White played his collegiate ball at the University of North Carolina, where he earned Second-Team All-ACC honors. In his 35 appearances with the Tar Heels, the Goldsboro, North Carolina native racked up averages of 16.1 points on 42.3 percent shooting from the field (35.3 percent from beyond the arc), 4.1 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 28.5 minutes per outing.

The Bulls finished the 2018-19 regular-season campaign with a disappointing 22-60 overall record, which left the team well out of playoff contention. Hopefully, with an offseason to prepare and the addition of White in the backcourt, Chicago will find its way back into the hunt.
