Despite Nikola Mirotic being such a bright spot for the Chicago Bulls since his return from a facial fracture and concussion, it appears the Chicago Bulls are on the brink of moving him.

The Bulls and Utah Jazz are in some types of discussions about having Mirotic in a trade between the two teams, and the talks seem serious, per Spencer Checketts of 1280 Sports.

It's interesting that the Bulls are in serious talks with the Jazz about Mirotic. The Bulls swingman has done nothing but play well since his return. He has also seemingly — on the court anyway — made up with Bobby Portis, who punched Mirotic during a preseason practice and put him in the hospital.

That being said, Mirotic has said frequently during the last couple of months that he would still be open to a trade if the right move came along. And he also reportedly been intrigued by the Jazz in recent weeks.

So really, it's a lot of he-said-she-said at the moment. If Mirotic wants to leave the Bulls, he'll have to waive his no-trade clause to do it, something that he has said he would do for the right team.

At this point, it is probably a better idea that Mirotic leave the Bulls and give himself a fresh start. He could join a Jazz team that is still pretty good despite losing Gordon Hayward in free agency, and provide some scoring for them.

Mainly, he'll be out of a situation where he has to play with Portis every day. It has to wear on him that he has to spend so much time near the man who put him in the hospital.
