The Arizona Cardinals don't have anything to play for on Sunday and could be without their starting quarterback. Just two days before the Cardinals take on the Los Angeles Rams, Kyler Murray has been designated as a game-time decision for Week 17.

During last week's win over the Seattle Seahawks, Murray exited early with a hamstring injury. As a result, Brett Hundley was forced to come into the game and did enough to maintain Arizona's early lead.

Hundley has gotten most of the first-team reps this week to prepare him for his first start since 2017. In addition, Kliff Kingsbury didn't sound overly confident that his rookie quarterback would be available on Sunday.

“He’s getting more work but I’m not sure if he’ll be ready to go on Sunday,” he told reporters after practice on Friday. “Brett (Hundley) has been getting work than him at this point.”

If Murray is unable to go against the Rams, he's still had a very positive rookie campaign in Arizona. The No. 1 overall pick would finish the season with 3,397 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Along with his passing numbers, Murray also showed off his rushing ability with 544 rushing yards and another four touchdowns. It remains to be seen if Murray did enough to take home the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2019.

Regardless if he does, Murray proved plenty of critics wrong with his play on the field this year. While the Cardinals didn't have an impressive record, Murray has provided plenty of optimism for the organization moving forward.
