Ah yes, it's Colin Cowherd's world and we're just living in it.

The man who's made a living saying outrageous things and having fans tear him to shreds is at it again, this time concerning the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals.

“Congrats to the Celtics. Not even @KingJames can win a game 7 on the road without his best teammate. #NoLove”

It's silly. Actually, it's beyond silly.

LeBron James and the road-playing Cleveland Cavaliers will already have the odds stacked against them on Sunday night in Boston. The odds that they sneak away with that win remain slim.

Meantime, Kevin Love exited the Cavs Game 6 win early and never returned. It's a head injury and earlier on Saturday, it was announced that he will, indeed, miss Game 7.

Naturally, Cowherd pounced on Twitter.

Also, naturally, the diehard and intelligent sports world pounced right back with awful Cowherd takes stuck in the back of minds everywhere.

  • Kevin Durant preferred the Los Angeles Lakers over the Golden State Warriors in free agency.
  • The 2017 New York Jets would finish 0-16.
  • The San Franciso 49ers will be a viable franchise with Chip Kelly and Colin Kaepernick leading things.

The list goes on and on and on.

Those who actually understand basketball, know one thing about Kevin Love at this stage of his career: He's no longer a star—he's just another one of the guys who surround LeBron.

Does his absence make the task more difficult? Of course. Love offers a specific skill-set that acts as a tremendous bonus, especially when spacing the floor correctly on the road. But his absence doesn't necessarily equal automatic death.

Silly Colin Cowherd takes or not, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers still possess a legit chance to win Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
