The NBA trade deadline was one for the ages this year as the Cleveland Cavaliers were active and shipped off most of the players. Cleveland seems to be starting a rebuild process as they brought in a couple of young players including former Los Angeles Lakers Larry Nance Jr. For Nance, the trade really hit home for him as he grew up in Akron, Ohio and is now following in his father's footsteps who was also a member of the Cavaliers.

It was an emotional move for the former Laker as he nows sees himself with a playoff potential team. Within a matter of 24 hours, Nance went from a below .500 winning percentage team to now a playoff potential team who can win it all.

Via HoopsHype, general manager of the Cavs Koby Altma noted that Nance was quite emotional when finding out his new team. With joining a championship contending team, it will make everyone get excited. Here's what Nance had to say about the new transition.

Yeah, I think he basically said I was crying and that’s a bit of a stretch (laughs). But I was excited! I don’t think anybody wants to get traded, but if I had to go anywhere, it doesn’t get much better than going home to play for a championship contender. I knew that it would probably be a good thing going forward, so I was definitely excited when I talked to him. Koby is a really good dude and we had a good talk.

The 25-year old has a new life in his NBA career as he got closer to completing his childhood dreams. Nance has played two games with the Cavaliers so far and averaging 23 minutes and nine points per contest.
