Fresh off of a run to the NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics aren't just going to sit back and hope that continuity takes them to the same heights next season. Boston is looking to improve in a very specific way. According to the latest Celtics rumors from Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, Boston is eyeing these two high-volume scoring forwards ahead of the NBA's free agency period.

Boston appears focused on high-scoring, small-ball forwards for the Celtics' mid-level. They have been linked to Danillo Gallinari and T.J. Warren, among others. Gallinari is also expected to draw interest from Miami should it lose P.J. Tucker.

Fischer reports that the Celtics have been linked to Danilo Gallinari and T.J. Warren, with others also expected to be in the mix. Boston, who is likely to be over the luxury tax threshold, would utilize their $6.3 million mid-level exception in these instances.

Whether it's Gallinari or Warren, it's clear that the Celtics are interested in a particular kind of player alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Boston desires forwards who can play either the three or four and can score with a low usage rate. Those types of players seem to be the best fits alongside the more ball-dominant Tatum and Brown.

The Celtics likely won't have a lot of spending money in free agency. As such, they'll need a veteran forward, whether it's Gallinari or Warren, to take a discount to come to Boston.
