It's not the prettiest of returns to the TD Garden for Kyrie Irving as Boston Celtics fans let him know what they think of him throughout the game. While passion is an understandable part of the game, Jaylen Brown fails to understand why some of the Boston crowd decided to chant mean things about Kyrie.

The guard addressed the chants that circulated during the game they won over the Brooklyn Nets. He said that the fans should focus on the good times the Celtics are currently enjoying instead of zeroing in on the past.

“I don’t think anybody in Boston should have anything to complain or boo about, to be honest,” Brown said, per Tom Westerholm. “I think we’re winning, playing good basketball, the Celtics look good, Boston fans should be nothing but happy.”

Brown makes a good point with his statement. They are playing winning basketball with Kemba Walker leading the team on and off the floor. In fact, he finished the 110-121 victory with a solid stat line of 39 points, six rebounds, four assists, and a block. Brown himself had a decent game with his 22 points and 10 rebounds, The rest of the Celtics core are performing well, playing great team basketball that they weren't able to fully realize during Irving's final year with the team.

Moreover, the last thing you'd want to do is anger a player of Irving's caliber. If he wasn't out with an injury, he could have easily taken over the game and stifle the Celtics with his shooting and dribbling. They should know better than anyone what Irving can do on the open floor.

The next game between these two will be one to watch, and Kyrie's reaction to the slander is going to be one of the more interesting storylines to keep track of.
