It's no secret that Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum is one huge Kobe Bryant fan. As a matter of fact, he has the Los Angeles Lakers legend in his Top 5 list of the greatest players of all time along with LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

NBA analyst Shannon Sharpe, however, could not disagree more. In Sharpe's mind, Bryant has no place in the all-time GOAT list:

Sharpe's hot take unsurprisingly got a ton of criticism on the mean street of Twitter. This included a random user posting an old Jayson Tatum quote that absolutely contradicted Sharpe's claim:

Sharpe took exception to the reply and decided to fire back with a jab against the Celtics forward:

Not only did Sharpe disagree with Jayon Tatum's earlier statement, but he even went as far as saying that the Celtics star shouldn't even be talking basketball. This is actually quite an odd statement considering how Tatum is widely considered as one of the best players in the sport today.

Sharpe does have a point about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar being an all-time great. There's no denying that fact. At the end of the day, each person will have a varying opinion on his or her own GOAT list. For Tatum, it is clear that Kobe had a tremendous impact on his own career, which is exactly why the Celtics stud holds the Lakers icon in such high regard. For Sharpe to lambast Tatum and his knowledge on the history of the sport just sounds a bit overboard in my view.
