Some reports surfaced earlier this week pertaining to an alarming story involving Chad Wheeler of the Seattle Seahawks. After an investigation was conducted into the matter, Wheeler has now been charged with domestic violence assault following his release from the Seahawks.

On Tuesday, Wheeler was booked at King County Jail in Washington state after abusing his victim. He was released on a $400,000 bond, but he was told by the judge to have no contact with the victim, and to hand over any weapons that he may have.

Despite his original release, Wheeler has now been charged with first-degree domestic violence assault and domestic violence unlawful imprisonment. In the state of Washington, both charges are considered felonies.

The prosecutors involved in the case said that Wheeler allegedly strangled and beat the victim until she was unconscious on January 22. Wheeler allegedly attacked her twice, with the intent to kill her both times.

After she woke up from being beaten unconscious, the victim called the police, who arrived at the house in time to arrest Wheeler. The police dealt with resistance from Wheeler before he eventually cooperated.

Since the incident occurred, the victim explained that Wheeler suffers from bi-polar disorder and hasn't been taking his medications. Before the unfortunate situation that took place,  it was discovered that she and Wheeler had been dating for six months.

Wheeler spent the past season with the Seattle Seahawks after being with the New York Giants for two years. It's safe to say that his career in the NFL should be over and that he should behind bars for what he did to the victim. Our thoughts go out to the victim and her family after what she experienced.
