The Charlotte Hornets this offseason have been one of the busier teams looking to shake things up with their roster.

According to Sean Deveney of Sporting News, the Hornets have expressed some interest in free agent veteran big man Jordan Hill.

One player the Hornets have shown interest in, a source said, is Jordan Hill. Hill was waived by Minnesota at the end of June after appearing in only seven games for the team last season.

Hill spent last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves but played just seven games with the team where he averaged just 1.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 6.7 minutes per game. The 29-year-0ld does have some experience playing under Hornets head coach Steve Clifford when he was an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers back in the 2012-13 season.

The addition of Hill would bring more size and depth in the frontcourt with a player that has shown versatility to play both at power forward and center. He could also be a viable candidate for a backup to offseason acquisition Dwight Howard.

Charlotte has put together a team that should compete for a playoff spot next season with the additions of Howard via a trade and rookie Malik Monk through the first-round of the 2017 NBA Draft. There is potential for the Hornets to be one of the surprise teams in the Eastern Conference.
