Lawrence Taylor knows a little bit about winning Super Bowls. In his heyday, the Hall of Fame outside linebacker won two of them — XXI and XXV. Taylor thinks Patrick Mahomes will lead the Kansas City Chiefs to victory over the San Francisco 49ers to get half as many as he has.

Taylor told FOX Business on Tuesday that he believes the Super Bowl will be a “great game,” but, ultimately, Mahomes will come out on top in his first attempt at winning it all.

“I've always been a man who says championships are won by defense — unless you keep scoring every 30 seconds, you know?” Taylor told FOX Business' Charles Payne.

Though one of the best defenders in NFL history, Taylor sides with offense over defense in Super Bowl LIV. He has a good reason to, too. Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid have constructed a dominant air offense over the last two seasons, with the results of an MVP-winner, two AFC Championship appearances, and one Super Bowl berth.

Las Vegas sides with Taylor, as the Chiefs are favorited to win the game — albeit, in an expected close one, as many books have them to win by 1.5 points.

In each of their first two playoff games in 2019, the Chiefs' offense has started slow, only to speed-up in comeback victories. They conquered a 24-0 Houston Texans lead in the divisional round, and a 10-0 Tennessee Titans lead in the AFC Championship to move on to the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs and 49ers will face off on Feb. 2 in Miami.
