Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes flashed his patented arm strength to connect with rookie wide receiver Mecole Hardman for an incredible 83-yard touchdown reception.

A second round selection by the Chiefs in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Georgia product Hardman, 21, found space down the middle of the field, with last season's MVP Mahomes finding the 5-foot-10 wideout for the crucial score.

Kansas City is playing its home-opening game of the 2019 season against another 2-0 squad in the AFC North's Baltimore Ravens, led by former Heisman Trophy–winning quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson, a first-round pick in the 2018 draft, is nearly flawless as a starter, replacing veteran Joe Flacco mid-season last year to lead the Ravens to a 6-1 regular-season finish before bowing out of the Wild Card round. A 2-0 start for Jackson and the Ravens in 2019 puts them at 8-1 in the Jackson era—the only blemish coming last season against the Chiefs.

The Week 3 tilt between the Ravens and Chiefs could mean revenge for Jackson and Baltimore, but Hardman and Mahomes' spectacular touchdown is pushing a larger deficient for the visiting team.
