Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star point guard Chirs Paul has sent his congratulatory message for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, following L.A.'s championship-clinching victory over the Miami Heat on Sunday night.

Paul took to Twitter to commend his close friend for yet another remarkable achievement:

As Paul expressed above, James did a tremendous job closing out the series for the Lakers after another Game 6 performance from The King. LeBron finished the title-clinching contest with a game-high 28 points on 13-of-20 shooting, to go along with 14 rebounds, 10 assists, a steal, and just one turnover in 41 minutes of action. After a magnificent showing throughout the series, there is no question that James deserves his fourth Finals MVP trophy.

Paul himself deserves a ton of credit for his work both on and off the basketball court.

The 35-year-old veteran led the way for the Thunder and their memorable season. Nobody expected this young team to make some noise in a ruthless Western Conference, and eve fewer so believed that they were going to make the playoffs. They almost pulled off an upset in the first round as well, taking the Houston Rockets all the way to an epic Game 7 series.

As for his outstanding work off the court, Paul played a pivotal role as the NBPA president in making the bubble idea come to fruition. The 10-time All-Star was very vocal on the issue of social injustice, while also prompting virtually the entire league to register for the upcoming national elections. Kudos to Paul, too for his invaluable contributions to the league and to society.
