Nicolas Batum keeps it real when talking about the upcoming playoffs rematch between the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks.

Looking at their showdown in the 2020 postseason, one can say that the Clippers have the advantage over the young Mavs. Besides, they have a fully healthy roster headed by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George entering the playoffs.

However, before anyone forgets, Batum reminded the Clippers and their fans to not be so overconfident. After all, it is the same Mavs team who gifted them a 51-point drubbing in their post-Christmas showdown this campaign.

“People talk about last year in the playoffs, but they beat us by 50!” Nicolas Batum exclaimed, per Mirjam Swanson of Southern California News Group.

Aside from that, the Mavs won their season series against the Clippers, 2-1. The Mavs' latest win was a 16-point victory last March, a clear proof Dallas knows how to take down Ty Lue's squad.

Of course, the playoffs is a different beast. The Clippers have more experience on their roster compared to a Mavs team whose leader in Luka Doncic is only getting into his second postseason appearance. However, as Batum noted, that is not enough reason to believe they'll cruise to an easy series.

The Mavs will also be more motivated than ever since they will want to avenge their early playoff exit in 2020. With that said, the Clippers will be better off being cautious and not underestimating their opponents.
