Despite coming home to play in Los Angeles, fans in attendance at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum showered reigning Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard with resounding boos when he appeared at the big screen during the Los Angeles Rams' game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg guested on FS1's “Undisputed” and explained why fans booed Leonard. It's because he chose the Clippers instead of the beloved Lakers:

“They booed him cause he didn’t come play for us. It’s not about where he’s playing at. It was like, ‘Oh, you set us up you supposed to come play for us.' But they love him. They love him and they love Paul George. There’s no doubt we love our LA guys, but you just playin' for the wrong team.”

Maybe Kawhi's second-guessing his decision now, huh? Or maybe he should've stayed in Toronto? Raptors fans gave him a standing ovation when he attended a Blue Jays game shortly after the Raptors won the NBA championship.

Nevertheless, it's clear with what happened on Sunday that the Lakers still run Los Angeles. For the longest time, this has been the case. It still is and likely will be for a long time, despite the emergence of the Clippers as a first-class organization.

Leonard had the choice to make the Lakers a superteam by teaming up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Instead, he pulled a massive shocker when he chose to sign with the Clippers and, in the process, orchestrated a blockbuster deal to bring Paul George aboard via trade.

It's going to be fun times in Hollywood with both Los Angeles teams coming into the 2019-20 season as legitimate championship contenders. If these two teams face off in the playoffs, we already know which team the majority of Los Angeles fans will cheer for.
