Despite being booed by the Indiana Pacers home crowd, Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George still has nothing but love for his former team and its fans.

After their 110-99 victory over the Pacers on Monday, George briefly recalled the good years he spent in Indiana while donning the Pacers jersey. The defensive stalwart started his career with the team and led them to several playoff appearances — including two Eastern Conference Finals appearances.

Under George, the Pacers were considered one of the best teams in the NBA back then. Though the partnership had to end, George has never lost his love for the city.

In his return, George dropped a game-high 36 points, nine rebounds and five assists. He was 10-of-26 from the field, 7-of-16 from deep, and 9-of-11 from the free-throw line. He had to pick up the slack as Kawhi Leonard was out.

Montrezl Harrel chipped in 26 points, Ivica Zubac had 13 and Patrick Beverley had 11 points.

The Pacers, meanwhile, got contributions from various players. Malcolm Brogdon led the way with 20 points, Domantas Sabonis had 18, Doug McDermott had 17, and Jeremy Lamb and TJ Warren chipped in 12 points apiece.

The Clippers have stringed two straight wins. They will head out to Canada to face the Toronto Raptors for the fourth game of their six-game road trip.
