Cris Cyborg has been on a roll since joining Bellator. So far she has been defending her featherweight title with ease.

So far Cris Cyborg has beaten Julia Budd, Arlene Blencowe, Leslie Smith, and now Sinead Kavanagh. The title challengers are being knocked down one by one.

Cris Cyborg spoke to MMAJunkie after her latest Bellator title defense and offered up an interesting name. Former UFC bantamweight title challenger Cat Zingano.

“I don’t pick who I want to fight, but you threw that and if it happens, it happens,” Cyborg said. “Cat Zingano is a great fight. The girl beat Amanda Nunes, the last one to beat Amanda Nunes, and she’s undefeated in Bellator, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to fight her.”

Cat Zingano has kicked off her Bellator career in style as she currently has two wins. She also holds the title of the last person to have beaten Amanda Nunes.

Cris Cyborg isn't sure when she'll return to the Bellator cage. She wouldn't mind a quick turnaround though.

“It’s nice when I have a quick turnaround,” Cyborg said. “Just rest a little bit then back to training again. It’s very nice, it’s a long camp, but I train everyday. So if I train everyday, it’s not just training for the camp. I train everyday, so when it’s close to the fight, I just make a plan on how the fight is gonna work, the game plan of the fight.”

Cris Cyborg vs Cat Zingano has long been talked about in the Bellator cage. They could possibly clash in 2022.
