The Dallas Cowboys will enter the free agency period looking to sure up any holes on both sides of the ball. While Dak Prescott is a top priority, what's next for the Cowboys? The defense is in dire need of a few pieces and the offense will look to retain Randall Cobb and Amari Cooper. For a team that had the NFC East Division won, then let it slip through their fingers, this is an important offseason.

The Cowboys finished the year ranked first in yards gained and ninth in yards allowed. But still, with a new coach on the way, Jerry Jones must give him some weapons to work with. Here are three free agents for the Dallas Cowboys to target this offseason.

Ndamukong Suh (DL-Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

This may not be a huge area of concern for the Dallas Cowboys but stopping the run should be a priority. Last season, the Cowboys ranked 11th in rushing yards allowed. In a division where the ground game is used heavy, shoring up that front line could pay dividends down the road. One name, in particular, comes to mind when rush defense is mentioned–Ndamukong Suh.

The surprising thing is, the Cowboys may be able to get Suh on the cheap. He will enter the season at 33-years old and has already made a ton of money. For Suh, it's all about winning now. In 2019, while with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers he registered 41 tackles, 14 QB hits, and two sacks. While Suh's number will never show upon on the stat sheets as a real contributor, it's the amount of attention the offensive line has to pay him that makes the huge difference.

Amari Cooper (WR- Dallas Cowboys)

With Dak Prescott expected to get hit with the Franchise Tag this offseason, the next person on the Cowboys' list should be Amari Cooper. In 2019, Cooper caught 79 passes for 1189 yards and eight touchdowns. His production helped Prescott earn that Tag that's coming.

In order for the Cowboys to become contenders, Prescott must have that No. 1 WR. Cooper is still young (25 years old) and if he can continue to stay healthy, he, along with Ezekiel Elliott and Prescott can become the new Big 3 in Dallas. But Cooper won't come cheap. With his production and teams' need for a reliable receiver, the Cowboys will have to shell out some coins to retain his services.

Chris Harris (CB-Denver Broncos)

The Dallas Cowboys are not as bad as some of the teams in the NFC East in terms of the secondary but it's clear that help is needed. For a team that was game out of the playoffs, the Cowboys must think improvements. The Cowboys finished the year ranked 10th in passing yards allowed. While that's better than the Eagles and the rest of the division, the Cowboys still finished second and missed out on a chance for a Super Bowl title.

Adding a player like Chris Harris will go along way for the defense. They're in a division where the Eagles have a solid core of receivers and if the Giants can grab a solid player this offseason, then the Cowboys will have no choice but to make a major upgrade here. Adding Harris is not as important as resigning Cooper but with the motto that defense wins championships, they must take a hard look at their secondary.
