Henry Cejudo has been pushing hard to make a return to the UFC by getting a featherweight title shot. He recently had a window when Max Holloway fell out of the fight with Alexander Volkanovski. Dana White was quick to shut it down.

The UFC President was asked about Henry Cejudo getting a title shot at featherweight in the UFC Vegas 46 post-fight press conference. Dana White did not hold back.

“Isn’t that guy retired?” the UFC President asked (MMA Fighting). “He’s retired, isn’t he? I mean, the last time I saw, he was retired, and now he’s mad that he didn’t get a title shot? It doesn’t even make sense. In a different weight class? It doesn’t make sense. So I should have jumped over everybody and gave it to him because last week he decided he’s not retired?

C’mon man, this is a fucking silly conversation,” the UFC President continued. “If he wants to come back and try to win the title again in his weight class, and then talk about moving up or doing something else — but you don’t just fucking pop up and start calling somebody names and think that you’re going to get a title shot in a different weight class when you’ve been retired for, what, two, two-and-a-half years?”

It's safe to say Henry Cejudo won't be getting a featherweight title shot anytime soon. The UFC has not been interested in it and Dana White has been shutting down his return for a long time. Only time will tell if Cejudo chooses to come back.
