Clayton Kershaw can't seem to catch a break this season. Just weeks removed from returning to the Los Angeles Dodgers after missing time with a forearm injury, the lefty exited Friday's start early against the Brewers due to pain in that same area.

Kershaw spoke out on the situation after the Dodgers' comeback 8-6 win and hinted that his playoff availability is not looking promising. Via ESPN's Alden Gonzalez:

“I'll get it looked at again, obviously, in the next couple days. Haven't quite wrapped my head around all that yet. The biggest thing was I just wanted to be part of this Dodgers team going through October. This team is special. You saw tonight. … I've known that. I know that we're gonna do something special this year, and I wanted to be a part of that. That's the hardest part for me right now is just knowing that chances are it's not looking great for October right now.”

While Kershaw hasn't been known to pitch that well in the postseason, it's still a tough blow for the Dodgers. The former Cy Young winner looked solid in his first three outings since returning from the IL, posting a 3.29 ERA while racking up 16 K's in 13.2 innings. But, the veteran did struggle vs. Milwaukee on Friday, giving up three earned runs and five hits through the second inning.

The Dodgers are undoubtedly a favorite to win the World Series once again with an electric offense and a stellar pitching staff, headlined by Max Scherzer and Walker Buehler. Julio Urias has also been tremendous for LA, but it would've certainly been nice to have Kershaw available. Nonetheless, he will be watching closely and cheering his team on as they look to repeat.
