The Philadelphia Eagles had lost franchise quarterback Carson Wentz to injury a month ago. Ever since then, Eagles folk hero and backup quarterback Nick Foles has stepped into this place with ease. Foles will get the opportunity to start his third straight game for the Eagles, a game that is vital for the playoff run.

Foles is 3-1 as the starter on the Eagles this season, completing 69.8 percent of his passes for 1,192 yards, four touchdowns, two interceptions, and a 93.4 passer rating.

It will be extremely difficult for head coach Doug Pederson to make the decision between Wentz and Foles after Wentz comes back from injury just because how well Foles has been playing. But if Wentz played a lost a potential playoff game in place of Foles, the fanbase may literally riot.

Coach Pederson is ignoring the questions now, but he will eventually have to answer and make this very difficult decision:

“It's hard to answer that just because we have Washington,” Pederson said per Jeff Kerr of 247Sports. “We have to win. We have to win this week, and then we'll answer these questions next week, but I hope we're in that position. As he goes through this natural healing process and the rest and everything, we'll continue — I say we, our doctors, our medical team will continue to evaluate him and we'll see where he's at. Right now, Nick is the guy, and we're going to finish at least this last game with Nick, and then we'll evaluate next week again.”

Wentz on the season has completed 69.6 percent of his passes for 3,074 yards, 21 touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 102.2 passer rating in 11 games.
