Nelson Agholor may have played his last down for the Philadelphia Eagles. The soon-to-be free agent wide receiver is under Doug Pederson's consideration to be shut down for the rest of the 2019 campaign, according to Zach Rosenblatt of NJ.com.

Currently, the talks of Agholor playing or not are internal. The former first-round pick out of USC (2015), has dealt with a nagging knee injury for much of the season. He has missed the last three games and is questionable for Sunday's must-win bout with the Dallas Cowboys.

If the Eagles loss on Sunday, they will have lost the NFC East and wouldn't be in the postseason.

When he plays, Agholor hasn't produced as hoped. He has 39 receptions for 363 yards and three touchdowns on the season. He has a lower 56.5% catch rate while also dropping four balls, per Pro Football Reference.

Agholor did not live up to expectations in his first two campaigns. 2017 was different, however. While winning the Super Bowl as a starter, he hauled in 62 receptions for 768 yards and eight touchdowns. Then, his numbers dropped to four touchdowns in 16 games. The 2019 seasons caps off his regression within the Eagles' offense.

It's unlikely that Agholor would be a focal point in the offense if he were to return, however. Former University of Houston quarterback turned starting wide receiver Greg Ward has taken over the No. 1 spot in Philadelphia.  He has 18 receptions for 140 yards and a touchdown in five games.

While still a possibility to play on Sunday, Agholor may have really played his last snaps in Philadelphia after an up-and-down career.
