Back in 2008 when he was starring for the Memphis Tigers in college, Rose suffered a scratch above his eye. Someone told him he'd need stitches to close the cut and the Chicago native freaked out.

“I’m terrified of needles,” Rose told reporters back in 2008. “If I would have got stitches, they would have had to stick a needle right above my eye. So I was pouting, stormed out of the locker room. I was mad.”

Rose has the Chicago skyline tatted on his left hand and the inscription above it says “Sweet Home Chicago.”

In the summer of 2017, Derrick Rose got a Bruce Lee tattoo on his thigh.

We don't have an image of it, but inscribed on Derrick Rose's inner left wrist is a Frank Sinatra tattoo.

That tattoo reads “The best revenge is massive success.”

Rose scored a career-high 50 points during the 2018-19 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He also did it against the Utah Jazz, the team that waived him after acquiring the former No. 1 overall pick from the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018.
