Derrick Rose has a bevy of tattoos on his body, which is kind of ironic since the former MVP is scared of needles.

Back in 2008 when he was starring for the Memphis Tigers in college, Rose suffered a scratch above his eye. Someone told him he'd need stitches to close the cut and the Chicago native freaked out.

“I’m terrified of needles,” Rose told reporters back in 2008. “If I would have got stitches, they would have had to stick a needle right above my eye. So I was pouting, stormed out of the locker room. I was mad.”

Derrick Rose may be scared of needles, but it didn't stop him from getting inked up. Let's take a look at every known tattoo that Rose has.

On his right shoulder, Derrick Rose has a cross tattoo and the words “Only God Can Judge Me” inked.

The Detroit Pistons point guard also has his mother’s name, Brenda, on his right hand and “Everybody Eats” on his forearm. That's the slogan Rose and his best friends lived by growing up in Chicago.

Outside near his right elbow, he has Englewood — the neighborhood Derrick grew up in — etched in a graffiti style.

Derrick Rose's left shoulder tattoo is very unique.

Rose's grandmother nicknamed him “Pooh” because of his love for all things sweet, as well as his yellowish skin tone growing up.

Because he became a wizard with the basketball, Rose was called “Poohdini” in Chicago, a la the “Great Houdini.”

Derrick ended up getting a tattoo on his left shoulder which says “Poohdini.”

There's also a wizard dribbling a basketball. It's an elegant design.

Moving down to Derrick Rose's left arm and hand, the former Chicago Bulls superstar has ink dedicated to the city of Chicago.

Rose has the Chicago skyline tatted on his left hand and the inscription above it says “Sweet Home Chicago.”

In the summer of 2017, Derrick Rose got a Bruce Lee tattoo on his thigh.

The former Rookie of the Year had already had ink on his legs of Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and Bob Marley.

We don't have an image of it, but inscribed on Derrick Rose's inner left wrist is a Frank Sinatra tattoo.

That tattoo reads “The best revenge is massive success.”

Rose scored a career-high 50 points during the 2018-19 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He also did it against the Utah Jazz, the team that waived him after acquiring the former No. 1 overall pick from the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018.

On his back, Derrick Rose has ink which says “God's Child.”

There's also a baby angel on his neck.

Derrick Rose's latest and most famous tattoo had to be painful.

The youngest MVP in NBA history got a tattoo on his neck with a triangle and the phrase “God Speed.”

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended due to COVID-19, Derrick Rose was averaging 18.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists for the Pistons.

The three-time All-Star was also shooting 49.0 percent from the field, 30.6 percent from beyond the arc and 87.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Derrick Rose signed a two-year deal with the Pistons last summer in free agency. He becomes an unrestricted free agent after the 2020-21 season ends.
