The Minnesota Timberwolves' inaugural campaign was in 1989-90. The franchise has compiled a record of 980-1,496 in the regular season and made the playoffs nine times.

Minnesota is one of the few teams in the NBA that doesn't have any Finals appearances. There's a lot of reasons the Timberwolves have struggled since joining the NBA, one of them being a lack of structure in the front office.

For this piece, we'll be taking a look at every trade deadline move the Timberwolves franchise has made. More often than not, Minnesota usually came out of the trade deadline as losers instead of winners.

1989-90

The Timberwolves traded Steve Johnson to the Seattle SuperSonics for Brad Sellers.

1993-94

Minnesota sent Luc Longley and a 1995 second-round pick to the Chicago Bulls for Stacey King.

1994-95

The Timberwolves dealt Donyell Marshall to the Golden State Warriors for Tom Gugliotta.

1995-96

Minnesota traded Christian Laettner and Sean Rooks to the Atlanta Hawks for Andrew Lang and Spud Webb.

1997-98

The Timberwolves sent Doug West to the Vancouver Grizzlies for Anthony Peeler.

1998-99 lockout season

Minnesota dealt Chris Carr, Bill Curley and Stephon Marbury to the New Jersey Nets for Brian Evans and a 1999 first-round pick.

The Timberwolves also traded Paul Grant to the Milwaukee Bucks for Terrell Brandon.

2001-02

Minnesota sent Dean Garrett and a 2007 second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for Marc Jackson.

2007-08

The Timberwolves traded Gerald Green to the Houston Rockets for Kirk Snyder and a 2010 second-round pick.

2008-09

Minnesota dealt Calvin Booth and Rashad McCants to the Sacramento Kings for Bobby Brown and Shelden Williams.

2009-10

The Timberwolves sent Brian Cardinal to the New York Knicks for Darko Miličić and cash.

2010-11

Minnesota traded Corey Brewer to the New York Knicks and Kosta Koufos to the Denver Nuggets. The Timberwolves received a 2015 second-round pick from the Nuggets and Eddy Curry, Anthony Randolph and cash from the Knicks.

2014-15

The Timberwolves sent Troy Daniels, Mo Williams and cash considerations to the Charlotte Hornets for Gary Neal and a 2019 second-round pick.

Minnesota also dealt a 2018 first-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Adreian Payne.

The Wolves capped off the busy 2015 trade deadline by acquiring franchise icon Kevin Garnett from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Thaddeus Young.

2019-20

The Timberwolves traded Jordan Bell and Robert Covington to the Houston Rockets and Keita Bates-Diop, Shabazz Napier and Noah Vonleh to the Denver Nuggets.

Minnesota also acquired Evan Turner and a 2020 first-round pick from the Atlanta Hawks and Malik Beasley, Juan Hernangomez and Jarred Vanderbilt from the Nuggets.

The Wolves then traded Andrew Wiggins, a 2021 first-round pick and a 2021 second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for Jacob Evans, D'Angelo Russell and Omari Spellman.

Minnesota finished the hectic 2020 trade deadline by sending  Gorgui Dieng to the Memphis Grizzlies and acquiring James Johnson from the Miami Heat.
