After years of heartbreak and disappointment, FaZe Clan has finally done it. The international squad led by Finn “karrigan” Andersen grabbed themselves a Major win at Antwerp, defeating the defending champions Natus Vincere in a 2-0 sweep. It's the first Major win for the organization in CS:GO, and the first Major win for all of the players on the roster.

Both FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere (Na'Vi) were considered heavy favorites heading into the PGL Antwerp Major. It didn't come as a surprise, then, when the two teams met in the finals of the tournament. The two teams went back and forth in the entire game, as the sweep betrayed just how close the series were.

The first map of the Grand Finals was played on Inferno, FaZe's pick. The international squad nearly choked a 12 – 5 lead to Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev's team. Fortunately, they were recompose themselves in the overtime period and were able to eke out the 19-16 lead. From there, it was smooth sailing for FaZe, as they more or less cruised to an easy win on Na'Vi's map pick of Nuke.

The win marks the first time an international roster has won a CS:GO Major tournament. FaZe's roster is a mismash of international talents: Robin “ropz” Kool from Estonia, Russell “Twistzz” Van Dulken from Canada, karrigan from Denmark, Havard “rain” Nygaard from Norway, and Helvijs ‘broky' Saukants from Latvia.

rain took home the Tournament MVP honors for FaZe in the Antwerp Major. The Norwegian rifle had the best performance of his long career, posting a 52-40 KDA in two maps and a 1.49 Rating 2.0 for the series.
