GaQuincy McKinstry, a five-star cornerback prospect in the 2021 college football recruiting class, has been offered a basketball scholarship by the Florida Gators.

Yes, we know, that's a bit to take in.

In a tweet relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, it was revealed Florida Gators coach Mike White offered the dynamic athlete a scholarship to play for his hoops program.

The youngster currently holds scholarship offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide and many other powerful football programs.

GaQuincy McKinstry, who goes by the nickname KoolAid, has stated before he's unsure what sport — if not both — are for him.

“I'm not saying I’m playing football in the future because I really don't know,” he said back in September. “I'm not saying I'm not playing basketball in the future.”

While not a lot of higher end college basketball programs have offered him hoops scholarships, with the Florida Gators making the offer, it'll be interesting to see how many other big boy programs decide to hurl the 6-foot-1 guard and cornerback prospect a deal.
