It is no secret that Giannis Antetokounmpo has emerged into an NBA player everyone should keep their eyes on the next few years. The Greek Freak elevated his level of play to become an NBA All-Star last season, and it seems his accolades will not be stopping there. Recently, Antetokounmpo expressed his thought on exactly what he is trying to become during his time in the most competitive basketball league in the world.

“I don’t want to sound cocky, but I have the highest possible goals,” Antetokounmpo told EuroHoops. “I want to be a champion with the Bucks, I want to be the MVP, I want to be part of the best 50 of all time and then I want to be the best ever who played the game.”

These are certainly some high aspirations to achieve, and Antetokounmpo knows he has his work cut out for him. Although he became the first player in NBA history to finish a regular season in the top 20 in total points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, he must recognize that he has 29 other NBA teams to dominate over if he wants to be considered a new emerging king of basketball. Until then, people will keep this argument exclusive to the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.
