Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies are enjoying a terrific season. Despite dealing with injury, Morant is in the MVP conversation and has led the team to the second best overall record in the NBA. Memphis only trails Phoenix in that regard. But for Ja Morant, second place simply isn’t good enough. He took to Twitter following Kansas’s March Madness win against North Carolina on Monday night and shared a very lofty but straightforward goal.

Seeing the Jayhawks celebrate has Morant feeling a certain type of way. The only thing standing in Morant’s way from an individual standpoint is health concerns. The superstar was ruled out for Tuesday night’s game with a sore knee. Memphis is hopeful he can return before the postseason begins so that he can get some extra in-game work in. But the Grizzlies need him back for the playoffs at the very least.

There was no question that Ja Morant enjoyed himself on Monday after video surfaced of him drinking tequila with Gunna. But he seems to be ready to return to NBA action following his goal-setting Tweet.

Morant has been lethal when on the floor this season. He is averaging over 27 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists. The most amazing thing about his performance is the fact that he is just 22 years old. Yet, people talk about him as if he is an established veteran in the league.

Ja Morant the Grizzlies will look to make a deep postseason run. And if they end up winning a championship, we can all look back on this moment and give some credit to Kansas’s March Madness win.
