Monday marked another historical point in the world's history when the earth was set to experience yet another solar eclipse, where the moon would block out the sun's light for a short period, and in other places, the daylight would be turned into complete darkness depending on geographical location.
Many teams and even a sports writer used the moment as a chance to take shots at other teams pointing out their constant failures and reminding them that nothing will change anytime soon.
It was the perfect opportunity for the Atlanta Hawks social media team to get to work and take advantage of one of nature's coolest days. After a short brainstorming session, the team came up with an idea to post Hawks highlights in honor of the solar eclipse, but with a twist.
The Phoenix Suns had the honor of being apart of this Hawks savage idea unknowingly until the team unleashed its highlight video.
Since the two teams only play each other twice a year, you can see the different uniform designs being worn by the Hawks to show that the clips were taken from different game day matchups over a period of years.
Not only did the Hawks run with the idea of the sun being blocked out but each clip consists of every time a Hawks player blocked a Suns player during those matchups.
The Hawks have one of the most comical and savage Twitter accounts and are always up for providing quality entertainment.
Make no mistake, the Suns did not sit by and take it without a fight, because it didn't stop them from blocking other team accounts from following them to celebrate the occasion.
