Despite the fact that Atlanta Hawks didn't even face the New York Knicks in the playoffs this season, there's no denying that Trae Young still remains to be Public Enemy No. 1 in NYC. Apparently, the fans' hatred towards the two-time All-Star goes beyond the basketball court. On Wednesday, New York Yankees supporters randomly began chanting some blasphemy towards Young as they took on the Baltimore Orioles.

A brief video clip of Yankees fans screaming ‘f–k Trae Young' during the Yankees game is currently making its rounds on social media. The Hawks star caught wind of the slander and he could not help but react:

Young just had to laugh off the incident. After all, this is far from the first time Knicks fans have expressed their disdain towards the Hawks star. At this point, Trae has gotten used to it. In fact, you could even say that he's embraced the villain persona in New York.

Unfortunately, both the Hawks and the Knicks weren't able to make much of an impact in the NBA this season. Atlanta was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, while the Knicks didn't even make it to the postseason. Nevertheless, we can all take comfort in the fact that there will be a lot more Hawks-Knicks showdowns in the future. Trae Young is probably feeling a bit excited about that, too.
