Monday's matchup between the Sixers and the Wizards featured a controversial incident wherein an unruly fan stormed the court during the game. Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, who himself was recently involved in a spitting incident with a New York Knicks fan, witnessed the fiasco in Washington and decided to take to Twitter to share his unfiltered reaction to the same.

According to Trae, these are nothing more than attention-grabbing antics from the fans:

Fair point from the Hawks here. Right now, virtually every game in the playoffs has had a controversial incident involving the fans. These occurrences have made headlines, and perhaps some fans are now looking to capitalize on the national attention these incidents have garnered. As they say, bad publicity is still publicity.

The Wizards fan who rushed the court was viscously tackled by a security personnel standing courtside. The fan was barely able to set foot on the basketball court, and he wasn't able to do whatever he had set out to.

There's no denying that things are getting out of hand right now. This series of incidents have put the entire NBA fanbase in a bad light, regardless of the fact that only a handful of fans were actually involved in the same. All of a sudden, the critics are saying that allowing fans back into arenas might not be a good idea after all. At this point, you can't really blame the naysayers for their sweeping statements.
