Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic is doubtful to play in Game 5 of the 2020 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Heat's starting point guard is still dealing with a torn plantar fascia, per Malika Andrews of ESPN.

The Heat are down 3-1 to the Lakers. Even though Game 5 is on Friday, giving Miami two days to recover after Game 4, Goran Dragic isn't expected to play since plantar fascia tears are extremely difficult to play on.

Miami put up a good fight in Game 4 in Bam Adebayo's return to the lineup. The game was close throughout, but the Lakers pulled away late in the fourth quarter to take a commanding 3-1 series lead in the Finals behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Now that the Lakers are up 3-1, most pundits believe the series is over. However, the Heat have shown time and time again this season they are not to be doubted when their backs are against the wall. For Miami to come back in this series, All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler is going to have to play as he did in Game 3 when he had a 40-point triple-double.

This NBA Finals series between the Heat and Lakers likely would have been more competitive had Dragic not gotten hurt in Game 1. The lefty has been playing at an All-Star level in the postseason, as he's averaging 19.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
