Back in May, LaVar Ball and Ice Cube figured in a back-and-forth on social media where the BIG3 founder issued a four-point shot challenge to Ball for 10 pairs of the ZO2s. Ball quickly responded with an Instagram video, letting Ice Cube know that he accepts it. He then added his own twist to the challenge by asking the rapper and actor to buy his entire travel ball team a pair of Lonzo Ball's signature shoes if he wins.

Almost three months after their exchange, Ice Cube makes it known that he has not forgotten about it. He posted another video recently, inviting LaVar Ball, his sons, and his whole AAU team to be at the Staples Center this coming Sunday, so they can finally make the challenge happen.

“I ain’t forgot about that four-point challenge,” Cube tells Ball. “Now check this out. You bring your sons, bring your AAU team, y’all come on down to the Staples Center to the BIG3 this Sunday, me and you can hit the court and do that four-point shot in front of everybody, if you want to do this. Then I will buy the Big Baller Brands for your whole team.”

The BIG3's inaugural season has been a success so far, drawing sizable crowds in the arenas they play in. This weekend will be the eighth week of action, and the competition is expected to be tougher than ever, with the playoffs fast approaching, and teams looking to be in the best position entering it.

While the shootout between the two can be considered more of a marketing stunt than anything else, it’s still worth watching, especially with Ball continuing to be a much talked-about figure. He has not responded to the invite yet, but being the outspoken person that he is, it won’t come as a surprise if he’ll come up with his own video soon to let Ice Cube know of his decision.
