Colts Week 18 Predictions

4. Carson Wentz has a very efficient game

Carson Wentz has had some up and down moments this season, but the trade for him has been worth it. He has thrown for 3,378 yards along with 26 touchdowns and six interceptions. These numbers may not be the same as when he was an MVP candidate in 2017, but they are good enough to lead the Colts to the postseason.

With Jonathan Taylor spearheading the offense, which leads to Wentz's game predicated on playing off of him. This allows him to be very efficient as his rushing game opens up the passing attack.

Wentz and the offense should have an efficient performance against an atrocious Jaguars defense.

3. Colts pick off Trevor Lawrence multiple times

Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence has not lived up to the hype this season. Although the roster needs improvement around him, many expected him to have a solid rookie campaign.

Lawrence has thrown for 3,418 yards, ten touchdowns, and 17 interceptions. He also has a low completion percentage at 58.9 percent. Lawrence is coming off of a three-interception performance and has struggled all season long with turnovers.

With a well-balanced Colts defense, they should wreak havoc on Lawrence and force multiple turnovers.

2. Jonathan Taylor goes over 150 yards

Jonathan Taylor has simply been one of the best players in the NFL this season. He has put himself in the MVP conversation and guided the Indianapolis Colts to their success.

Taylor has rushed for 1,734 yards and 18 touchdowns, as well as 342 receiving yards and two touchdowns. While Taylor likely won't win MVP, he should be recognized around the league as a perennial talent. In the first matchup against the Jaguars, he rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown.

It was an excellent performance, but he has picked his game up even more since then. This should translate to a bigger performance for Taylor as the Colts fight for their spot in the postseason.

1. Colts win and make it to the playoffs

Although it seems evident that Indianapolis will come away with the victory, nothing is ever certain in the NFL. The San Francisco 49ers dropped what was thought to be an easy game two weeks ago to the Houston Texans. Head coach Frank Reich needs to have a strong game plan and keep his players engaged throughout the game.

The Colts have a more talented group and should cruise to a victory. Taylor and the offense should dominate the run game while opening up the passing attack for Wentz. The defense should be able to make some plays on the Jaguars' rookie quarterback.

This game will be vital for the AFC playoff picture, and the Indianapolis Colts could have great success if they make it.
