The Jacksonville Jaguars will finally be getting Yannick Ngakoue back to their stifling defense. Their Pro-Bowl defensive end ended his 11-day holdout to return to the team on Sunday.

After receiving the good news, Jaguars defensive coordinator Todd Wash isn't worried about Ngakoue getting up to speed with the defense. After all, Ngakoue has been in Wash's defensive scheme since 2016.

Earlier this offseason, Ngakoue showed he is discontent with his current rookie contract. It was reported that Jacksonville offered a short-term deal worth $19 million per year before talks collapsed.

Over the past few seasons, Ngakoue has instilled his name as one of the league's up and coming sack artists. The Jaguars drafted Ngakoue in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. In just three seasons, Ngakoue has tallied 29.5 sacks and 10 forced fumbles.

The craziest part about his fast start in the NFL is the fact he is only 24-years old as he enters his fourth season in the NFL. That makes it likely that we have yet to see the best version of Ngakoue in the NFL.

Besides Ngakoue, Jacksonville used their seventh overall pick in this year's draft on Josh Allen out of Kentucky. The trio of Ngakoue, Allen, and Calais Campbell puts a smile on Wash's face. At the same time, opposing quarterbacks will go into games against the Jaguars, knowing they are going to have a long day.

The Jaguars have built their team to rely on their suffocating defense and Ngakoue has been vital to that. Getting Ngakoue back at this point of the offseason is an early Christmas gift for Todd Wash and the Jaguars.
