With the recent departure of Rudy Gobert, it sounded as if the Utah Jazz were all in on making Donovan Mitchell the face of the franchise. Now it sounds like the team could be willing to move on.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Jazz have at least listened to trade offers for Mitchell.

Since entering the NBA in 2017, Donovan Mitchell has been one of the game's rising stars. Mitchell is now a three-time all-star and one of the biggest names in the NBA.

Through 345 career games, Donovan Mitchell has averaged 23.9 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 4.5 APG. He has also been an efficient shooter. He has career averages of 44.1% shooting from the floor and 36.1% from behind the three-point line.

While the asking price for Mitchell is still unknown, it's safe to say that it will be extremely high. He is also still under contract until the 2026 season.

After seeing what the Jazz received for star center Rudy Gobert, the market has been altered in a big way.

Gobert, a three-time Defensive player of the year and four-time All-NBA member, was involved in one of the largest trade packages in NBA history. The Minnesota Timberwolves sent the Jazz Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Walker Kesler, and four-first-round selections.

A player of Donovan Mitchell’s caliber could go for something similar.

At just 25 years old, Mitchell still has years left of good basketball left. He is still probably years away from reaching his peak. After the recent Gobert trade, the Jazz have already set up a foundation for their future. A trade centered around Mitchell could give them arguably the most draft capital in the NBA.
