Jorge Masvidal has been trying to figure out what's next for him in his MMA career. He has reached a tricky point as he is undoubtedly a big star but he also has two losses to the current champion, Kamaru Usman.

He lost to Usman by decision in July 2020, taking the fight on short notice. His second fight against the champion was more decisive as he would lose by knockout in the second round.

Regardless of the outcomes, Jorge Masvidal still wants Kamaru Usman next. There are many options but that is the one he truly wants.

Masvidal recently participated in a Q&A hosted by the website Rumble. He was able to answer fan questions and give an update on who he was hoping for next.

“Right now the only fight that I am truly interested in is Usman,” Jorge Masvidal said (transcription via Nicole Bosco). “I’m going to do whatever it takes to get back in front of Usman. If that means beating up that fragile, never done nothing in the sport guy (Covington), then I’ll beat the crap out of him. My end game and everything for me is getting back in there with Usman so that’s where I’m at right now.”

The fight is unlikely to be made but Jorge Masvidal and his fans should be getting an update soon as there is a meeting planned for ‘Gamebred' and the UFC.

“I’m going to Las Vegas on Tuesday or Monday and Wednesday and Thursday we have meetings with the UFC so once we get out of those meetings we’ll have a much more clear picture of who, when, and where,” Masvidal said. “I’m just waiting, I’m just as anxious as you.”
