Jorge Masvidal is set to take on Nate Diaz in a boxing match on June 1. It's a highly anticipated matchup as fight fans have been wanting to see these two duke it out again. During a press conference, Masvidal made a promise that will excite fight fans.

Masvidal didn't mince words, as he promises to bring “nothing but violence,” according to Fanmio and The Baddest Tour. If that's true, then we could be in for a banger.

“Y’all know what you're gonna get June 1. Nothing but violence. That's what I’m gonna deliver. I was busy chasing world titles after our first fight, so here we are now in boxing and I can't wait to get in there and do my thing.”

The first time Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz fought was in the UFC. Masvidal won that contest by TKO. Diaz acknowledged the loss but still believes he's a better fighter than Masvidal.

“The first fight is what it is. I’m better, I lost and it was how it was. It got stopped, those were the rules. I'll fight to the end of time. There's no stopping me ever. The tank is full now and it was full then. I'm training hard as always and staying ready for the next big move. I'm getting ready to rock.”

These two are absolute warriors. It'll be interesting to see how a boxing match plays out though. Jorge Masvidal has a brilliant knee that he can't use. Meanwhile, Nate Diaz is one of the best ground fighters in the UFC and won't be able to utilize that skill. Instead, they'll be keeping it on the feet in what should be a fun matchup.

Both fighters are great standing up. Masvidal tends to throw with more power while Diaz peppers his opponents with constant jabs and straights. Additionally, both of these guys love hyping up the crowd. This should be an incredibly fun boxing match.

The first time these two faced off was in the UFC. Jorge Masvidal took it to Nate Diaz, finishing the fight by TKO in the third round. That fight took place back in 2019. So it was roughly five years ago when they last faced each other. Both of them are different fighters now. But they should bring it to this upcoming boxing match regardless.

Look for Jorge Masvidal to swing for the fences while Nate Diaz keeps his composure. Masvidal likes to knock his opponents out and that's what he'll aim to do on June 1. If he keeps his promise we could see something spectacular in this boxing match. Diaz has a history of landing a ton of punches with a lack of power. However, he wears his opponents down and hits his opponents with surprising power when he needs to.
