Karl-Anthony Towns shared to the world his thoughts on Kevin Garnett's retirement

Throughout his career, Kevin Garnett has made a profound impact on the players he’s played with and those he fought against.

His unwavering intensity and focus is legendary and the league will never be the same now that he has retired.

Garnett will be leaving behind a Minnesota Timberwolves team that he brought into people’s consciousness. He made them relevant. But before he left the franchise, and the game, for good, the former MVP made sure that his imprint will remain through Karl-Anthony Towns.

Last season’s Rookie of the Year produced one of the better freshmen performances in recent memory. His game screamed of efficiency, and behind him, Kevin Garnett was also yelling guidance.

The two made a strong bond through their “mentorship program” and Towns recently took to Instagram to tell the world his thoughts on Garnett’s departure.

Thank you for everything my brother. You know how much I'm gonna miss playing with you and just simply having you around. Congrats on having one of the greatest careers the game has ever seen. We talked. I know what I must do. I'll take it from here.
