Kevin Durant may have just dodged a bullet with the law.

Apparently, the Thunder star forward had been sitting in traffic when he heard an ambulance coming up from behind. Like most people, he moved to the side to let it pass. But then he made the “mistake” of following behind the ambulance to get through traffic; a little life hack that we have probably all tried but is actually considered illegal.

“I saw the ambulance from behind me, and it was kind of slow in front of me, and I moved over,” he said. “I said, ‘I'm just going to follow the ambulance so I can get through traffic real quick.' So I moved over. I can't take full credit for that.”

Fortunately for Durant, the traffic in front of the ambulance got out of the way and this was interpreted as being due to Kevin Durant in his Ferrari rather than the ambulances sirens and flashing lights.

“We were stuck in traffic, so pretty much cars surrounding us all over,” paramedic Peter Radford told Joleen Chaney of 9 News. “All of a sudden, I see a silver Ferrari or a silver sports car pull in behind us.”

“I see this Ferrari has its flashers on,” Bradford said. “It's actually making way for us to get through and navigate all the traffic.”

So basically, Kevin Durant is saving lives even when he's actually just trying to get through traffic like the rest of us. What a guy.
