The Brooklyn Nets are fresh off of a 125-86 thrashing of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. James Harden didn't play a single minute and hasn't scored one point in the series and the Nets haven't had any issues, thanks in part to the remaining duo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.

How so? Well, Kevin Durant has been shooting unbelievably well in the playoffs and– at this rate– the Nets should have no hiccups reaching the NBA Finals.

He is the definition of unguardable through the first chunk of playoff games for the Nets. After the Bucks swept the Miami Heat, it appeared as though the series against the Nets could be a thrilling one.

Well, Game 1 was a 115-107 Nets victory, which would've been more if it wasn't for a 17-point 4th quarter for Brooklyn. Then the second game was pure demolition from start to finish.

Durant had 29 points and 10 boards in Game 1 and followed that up with 32 points and six assists in just 32 minutes of action.  It's sickening, in all honesty, because Durant and the Nets have been missing arguably their best player for the series in James Harden.

The Nets are two wins away from moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals, and the way the Bucks played on Monday night sure doesn't bode well for their chances at making a comeback in the series.

Next in line would be either the Atlanta Hawks and Trae Young or Joel Embiid and the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers. However, if Durant keeps shooting at this rate it won't matter one bit.

The Nets are favorites for a reason, and unless there is an all-time collapse and disruption of their superb offense, they should run away in the Eastern Conference and earn a well-deserved trip to the NBA Finals.

Game 3 is on Thursday night and the Nets can take a commanding 3-0 series lead, which is nearly impossible for any team to come back from.
