The Milwaukee Bucks suffered a big blow to their preparations with unfortunate news regarding one of their main guys.

According to The Vertical’s Shams Charania, versatile swingman Khris Middleton suffered a left hamstring injury during workouts that will require surgery.

Per Bucks GM John Hammond’s statement:

“We’re obviously disappointed for Khris and our team, but injuries are an unfortunate part of the game. We’ll rely on our overall roster depth to help us while Khris is out for a significant period of the season.”

Middleton’s surgery will force him to be sidelined for six months. As such, Milwaukee will be hard-pressed to find a viable replacement for him.

Khris Middleton is coming off the best season of his career after averaging 18.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.7 steals. Players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker are expected to pick up the cudgels come regular season.
