LeBron James' former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Matthew Dellavedova has gotten a chance with the Sacramento Kings to work on his NBA comeback.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Dellavedova is working out with the Kings in Las Vegas in a bid to play again in the NBA. He is just 31 years old and certainly has plenty of gas left in his tank, especially after playing the past season in the NBL with Melbourne United.

Matthew Dellavedova last played in the NBA in 2020-21 with the Cavs, but he was limited to just 13 games after experiencing a variety of issues and ailments. He averaged 2.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists at the time. During his lone season with Melbourne United, though, Dellavedova put up 10.6 points and 4.9 dimes.

Overall in his career, the Australian guard has averages of 5.5 points, 1.8 boards and 3.7 assists.

It remains to be seen if the Kings will give him the opportunity to play again in the NBA, but his championship experience and familiarity with Mike Brown are certainly things Sacramento needs as they look to develop a winning culture.

Delly was a key cog for the Cavs in their 2015-16 championship run with LeBron James. His hustle play, defense, fearlessness and willingness to get physical made him a fan-favorite in Cleveland, and there is no doubt the Kings could get the same or more from the NBA vet.

It certainly won't be easy for Dellavedova to get back to the NBA and make the Kings' roster, but knowing his attitude, he won't simply take a no for an answer.
