New York Knicks legend Charles Oakley points out that there's something wrong with the way the Big Apple franchise is being run, but he thinks the problem isn't limited to team owner James Dolan.

Oakley was unrelenting with his criticism of his beloved team. He once again pointed out during a Knicks Fan TV podcast that the team is poorly run. While many expected him to drag team Dolan's name through the mud once again, he sprayed and prayed with his hot takes.

Via SNY's Ryan Morik:

“It's not just [owner James Dolan]. They don't have talent anymore,” Oakley said.

It may be unfair to mention that to the current Knicks core of RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, and Julius Randle. However, it's important to note that the team has not made any significant progress in the playoffs since the time Oakley was still in the team.

Oakley was also asked if Jeff Van Gundy could turn things around, but he quickly shot the thought down. He said that his former coach's approach to the game wouldn't translate well to the NBA's focus on pace and space.

Patrick Ewing, another Knicks legend who is currently coaching Georgetown's basketball program, is another name brought up. Oak, however, had choice words for his Hall Of Fame teammate.

“I don't deal with Patrick,” Oakley said. “He was one of the most difficult guys I've played with. I played with Patrick 10 years. He should know me. I should know him. It was a hard 10 years because he's not easy to play with. High maintenance.”

Charles Oakley also claimed that it will take at years before the Knicks can become contenders. Now, it is up to James Dolan and the team to prove their harshest critic wrong.

“It's going to take years,” added Oakley. “It's like driving from New York to Texas. It's a long road.”
