New York Knicks executive vice president William Wesley was spotted sitting courtside in Dallas during the Mavs-Jazz series earlier in the week. He was with Knicks star Julius Randle, who happens to be a Dallas native. Randle's presence was not exactly newsworthy but the presence of Wesley was a bit ominous, to say the least.

According to Ian Begley of SNY the Jazz brass was not very happy with Wesley's appearance in Dallas:

Some prominent members of the Jazz were surprised and upset to see Wesley sitting courtside for the game, per SNY sources.

Jazz superstar Donovan Mitchell has already been linked to a move away from Utah in the offseason. The Knicks have emerged as a potential landing spot for the All-Star and Wesley's appearance in the game was interpreted by some as an in-person scouting job.

It is worth noting that the Knicks have also been rumored to be in the mix for Mavs stud Jalen Brunson, who himself is going to be a free agent in the offseason. I guess that's hitting two birds with one stone for Wesley and the Knicks? Either way, the Jazz are not at all pleased with this power move by New York.
